Tokyo DAY 5, May 2017

Tokyo station
Since it was May 5th, most stores were closed. :( I recommend going to Tokyo station if you need to find restaurants or buy souvenirs before your return flight.

Late night shopping

Did you know Uniqlo in Japan is much cheaper than other countries? We bought some pants and t-shirts!

a shiba inu, I think, in front of an Apple Store.

My Korean credit card with UnionPay worked at this Japanese izakaya/sashimi restaurant!

Time to head back home... ๐Ÿ˜ญ We went to Kamata station and found buses that go to Haneda airport.

Capsule Inn for male only
We reserved this capsule inn to store our luggage. I couldn't go in because it's male only. There's also a shower and sauna inside. ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿšฟ♨๐Ÿจ

Pretty neat I think :D Why aren't there female ones in Kamata?

At an Italian bistro

yummy margherita pizza; around 1500 yen

matcha pudding at Starbucks; around 300 yen
Overall, Tokyo was awesome~ want to go back soon, but Japanese is kinda hard to learn with all the kanji.

Meiji Shrine, Tokyo-DAY 4, May 2017

Ray being goofy at Meiji Shrine
Ohoho, I'm in Tokyo~
We went to Meiji Shrine, but it was closed because it's a holiday. We still enjoyed the park๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’ฎ⁕ a lot since it's much bigger than normal parks. I think Japan's weather is really nice at this time and felt like the air quality was much better in Tokyo compared to Seoul...

Can we bottle this wonderful air and bring it to Seoul...?

Old trees that looked like at least a few hundred years old.

Japanese gardens are indeed beautiful!

sake barrels stacked up.

Don't remember the name of this place, but some parts were under construction.

cleansing water in front of the shrine.

Praying for their wishes to come true.
Somewhere in Harajuku
I've heard of Harajuku many times and decided to lunch there since it's very close to the shrine. We found an American-themed restaurant with many toys...

Back to the Future car

a camper

I think it was about 1000 yen for one plate. They were So-so.

Akiba/Asakusa/Tokyo Tower, Tokyo-DAY 1-3, May 2017

Hi~ Ray and I went to Tokyo in the first week of May, known as the Golden week. We got a little lost, but managed to walk to Tokyo Tower๐Ÿ—ผ from our hotel in Kamiyacho.

There was an event going on. 'Koinobori' is Children's Day and we thought the carps were colorful! ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿ‘ง๐ŸŽ

We bought Pasmo subway passes which require our names on the card. Cute design~
This is the famous Buddhist temple Sensoji of Asakusa. ⛩ The big lantern๐Ÿฎ at the front was pretty impressive.

Ray and I at a pond.

Also there are many souvenir shops lined up in front of it, so be sure to check it out.

After lunch, we went to Akihabara which is a few stops away. It's a big electronics town and a home to many otakus...๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽฎ

 Mario kart cosplay!

Well this was a nice surprise. A group of mario-themed karts were racing on the streets! How much did they spend on those karts...?! Only in Akiba :D

Ryuk from Death Note
Roppongi Hills
Uniqlo store
Kamiyacho is near Roppongi Hills, so check it out if you need to go shopping like Don Quijote (discount shop) or eat and drink.

For dinner, I got a bowl of udon near our hotel. Around 500 yen.

I found these soles for my flat feet... so funny I couldn't find them easily in Korea. Does this mean there are more flat-feeted people in Japan? ๐Ÿ˜† Till next post!
