Akiba/Asakusa/Tokyo Tower, Tokyo-DAY 1-3, May 2017

Hi~ Ray and I went to Tokyo in the first week of May, known as the Golden week. We got a little lost, but managed to walk to Tokyo Tower๐Ÿ—ผ from our hotel in Kamiyacho.

There was an event going on. 'Koinobori' is Children's Day and we thought the carps were colorful! ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿ‘ง๐ŸŽ

We bought Pasmo subway passes which require our names on the card. Cute design~
This is the famous Buddhist temple Sensoji of Asakusa. ⛩ The big lantern๐Ÿฎ at the front was pretty impressive.

Ray and I at a pond.

Also there are many souvenir shops lined up in front of it, so be sure to check it out.

After lunch, we went to Akihabara which is a few stops away. It's a big electronics town and a home to many otakus...๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽฎ

 Mario kart cosplay!

Well this was a nice surprise. A group of mario-themed karts were racing on the streets! How much did they spend on those karts...?! Only in Akiba :D

Ryuk from Death Note
Roppongi Hills
Uniqlo store
Kamiyacho is near Roppongi Hills, so check it out if you need to go shopping like Don Quijote (discount shop) or eat and drink.

For dinner, I got a bowl of udon near our hotel. Around 500 yen.

I found these soles for my flat feet... so funny I couldn't find them easily in Korea. Does this mean there are more flat-feeted people in Japan? ๐Ÿ˜† Till next post!

Seminyak, Bali DAY 1-3

Hi! Ray and I went to Bali for honeymoon. We stayed at a pool villa called One Eleven, and it was pretty amazing...

My first time staying at a private pool villa :D

The reason why we chose this villa was because of its modern design and private, relaxing atmosphere.

This is the bathroom inside next to the bedroom. The staff gave us toiletries like shampoo, sunblock, mosquito repellents, etc. They even filled the bathtub with roses on our arrival :)

Every day a chef came in and cooked us breakfast :)

The staff also gave us a cake every day... yummy

Overall the food was very delicious and fruits fresh. If you want more fruit, try the snakeskin fruit, dragon fruit and guava at a local supermarket.

Ray enjoying his private pool :D

Seminyak is a tourist area, so you can walk into any store and speak English. The pizza below was at a restaurant called Rumour.

One Eleven remembered Ray's birthday and prepared us dinner.

Very romantic <3

Also visited this fancy bar called La Sicilia.

The music was pretty good. We were only there for less than an hour, but still enjoyed it.

Rainy Vang Vieng, Laos

Hi! I went to Vang Vieng from Vientiane on the bus. It was really cheap, around 50,000 kip round trip. (1 USD=8100 kip) I was told it'd take 4 hours, but  it actually took almost 6 hours because the road condition was bad and the buses don't run on time exactly... so plan your trip accordingly :)
Vang Vieng is a small town surrounded by mountains. I was surprised they have 3G service! You can try voicetalk if you need to talk to your family/friends back home.
Yummy chocolate banana pancake. Food is amazing in Laos! This was only about 15,000 kip.

Pork Schnitzel. 25,000 kip :3

Pad Thai. 20,000 kip
I did hear that due to the influx of tourists in Laos, things are more pricey these days...
On the way to the Blue Lagoon. It's about 30 min from Vang Vieng and the road is really bumpy, so keep in mind. My tuk tuk charged me 120,000 kip.

Yay, we're here! It's so blue-green :o
Too cold to swim in the lagoon.. :(
Maybe I'll come back when it's warm.
Some brave guys dove in from the branch. Don't lose your glasses! Although I did see a Laotian guy pick it up from the bottom for money. The cheeky guy pretended he drowned in the water and gave everyone a big laugh :D
There's also a zip-line place next to the pond.
Tham Phu Kham cave nearby. Hiking anyone?

 Bye Laos, see you again!
